Apps marked as incompatible for older play store versions

I've been using an older version of the play store (4.5 something) that I blocked from updating, but I noticed that some apps, most notably snapchat are now listed as incompatible with my device.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this, or what the conditions are?
