We're running a local IPTV based TV station, that pushes to RTMP players. They're wanting to make a simple app inhouse, that sports a player..so when you open the app, the livestream from the station picks up and there's no configuring or fussing around for the users. Think CW's and NBC's watcher apps.
Originally, I thought a wrapper app for a mobile site, with the html5 player embedded and set to fullscreen would work, but I'm reading conflicting information.
What's a good way to make this work? Is there a generic rtmp player we can buy/license, or is there an opensource player? I tried reaching out to a few RTMP app makers on the Play Store, but they're not interested in a stripped down, branded version of their apps. Oh well... :confused:
