P-607, 5.11 Rooted Lock Screen Pin Issues

Here's the issue, that I've resolved, but I'm looking for a reason why this happened.

Have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) running Android 5.11, rooted and running xposed.

Arrived home a few days ago and my PIN is no longer recognized to unlock the device. I been using the same pin for months and nothing of any significance had changed on the device. A couple of days earlier I had upgraded busybox and a certificate I use for an email account had expired, but I've restarted the device and used the lock screen pin multiple times after both events. Very strange that the device just stopped recognizing the pin as the correct one.

Anyway I was, fortunately, able to find a way to get into the device and authorize adb connections and took care of the issue (without having to reflash anything).

Anyone have any ideas why the device would just stop allowing the pin to unlock the device?

These libs are one of the component of the heart of the sony Sound Enhancement, they are the files that manage the audio output when some audio effects are enabled, and i ported them for you! including S-Force, XLOUD, Clear Phase, Clear Stereo, Clearaudio+, but unlickily i can't port libsonydseehxwrapper.so becpuse it causes stuck at starting apps i don't know why, but at least i ported the dsx_param_file.bin so you still have something new to play with ;) There is also a new unknown effect called ZNR That i ported successfully and it's here.

Tested on: Z2-Z5

Advantages: Very better sound effects including always more bass, Trebble and music clarity.


• Xperia X Qualcomm HW Audio Processing:

Description:

Obviously this is a port of some S820 Files wich uses the latest config for Hexagon-DSP so it sound really better

Qualcomm HW effects are configured parameters of audio module/feature code running on Qualcomm® Hexagon™ DSP Core contained in Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processors. The benefit is enhanced precision, sample rate, concurrency, and reduced power consumption while retaining standard Android APIs. So, these files are the managers of the Audio Reverberium, Virtualizer, Voice Processing and general sound processing. Like Always Sony put his work on these files to make them better and better. I used these files Too in my XTREMEMusic Sound MOD and now i wil share them for you! ;)

Advantages: Really Hearable difference in sound processing: Really better sound Virtualizatrion, Incredible Clearer and Stronger Bass and really clearer Vocalist voice.

Also this time guys there is a new very exclusive feature!

Description:

This time guys i ported the entire system/lib/soundfx folder from Xperia X to other Xperias!! But the question is what is the soundfx folder? Well in this folder android stores all the engines core libs wich are a must to have a working audio on your device, for example here you can find the visualizer libs, the sound pre-profcessing and processing libs, sound reverb libs, bass boost bundle etc. So most of the android sound efecct processing is here, and you have now the same sound effects as Xperia X!!! Not bad right? ;)

Tested Devices: Z2-Z5

Advantages: Almost the same output sound as Xperia X ( in terms of bass, trebble and effects )


• Xperia X Audio libs!:

This is a very very exclusive thing too!

Description:

I ported the audioroute and audioutils libs from Xperia X To all others!! what does these libs do? they are two components of android's core sound, so if your device hasn't such libs, you can't hear nothing XD as they are some core libs, you can say now that you have also part of Xperia X core sound! So now the X sound processing is deeply integrated in your xperia! these libs have a differnt name and you can't find them in stock xperia X system, becosue i ported them complitaly by myself so the name is differnt. At least logcats shows that it's working so... enjoy :)

Advantages: Complete the implementation of xperia X sound processing and deeply integrates it in your device!

[GUIDE] Systemless Root of your Nook Tab S2 710

With Barnes & Noble now selling the Galaxy Tab S2 710 (32gb) for $299 in the U.S. (and an extra 10% off if you're a B&N member), I picked one up yesterday and immediately came here to research rooting and set up. What I found were a lot of guides written a while ago, and a lot of confusing (at least to me) information. So I thought I would consolidate, in one place, in a new thread, what I eventually did, on the assumption that there might be a lot of new Tab S2 owners in the coming weeks. Obviously, you undertake these steps at your own risk, and YMMV. Also, hopefully equally obviously, none of the fantastic tools here are original with me -- credit goes to all those, like chainfire, ashyrx, wanam, engine95 and many more who have built and/or developed them.

1. If your Tab comes with anything but 5.1.1 XXU2BPB1, feel free to take the OTA update. In the US, it's the most current build as of 4.30.16 and you will still be able to root.
2. If you don't already have it, download Odin 3.10.7. You can find it here: http://ift.tt/11Z9Nfp
When you run Odin in Windows, probably better to run it in administrator mode (right click on the icon), although I haven't always found that to be necessary.
3. Flash a Custom Recovery using the PDA tab of Odin. Put your Tab into Download mode by turning it off, then pressing and holding the Home, Power and Volume Down buttons all at the same time. When the download screen comes up, press the Volume Up button to continue. Now you're ready to attach your Tab to your PC. Load TWRP 3.0.2-1 from Ashyx's thread here: http://ift.tt/1QHXeWL into Odin. Follow his instructions carefully -- once the custom recovery flashes, you have to manually reboot into the new recovery (so untick the auto-reboot option in Odin) or else your new custom recovery gets overwritten and you go back to your stock recovery.
4. Backup your Stock Rom -- While you're still in TWRP (or if you've already rebooted, go back to it), it would make sense to do a full backup of your stock ROM. That way you can restore your Tab to its original state if you ever need or want to.
5. Root -- Here's where I found the most confusion on these forums. You can do a systemless root -- i.e., keeping a stock, SE Enforcing, kernel (as opposed to flashing a permissive kernel and always getting the red SE Noneforcing Kernel message on a reboot and/or needing to use CF-Auto-Root). All you need to do is install Super SU 2.71 (BETA). Get the zip from here: http://ift.tt/1H95YEo and put it on your Tab. Then flash using the "Install" choice within your TWRP recovery. Reboot -- and when TWRP asks you whether you want to install SuperSU because you're not rooted -- you have to say "NO" (OK, that's counterintuitive, but chainfire's instructions are clear).
5. Debloat -- That's beyond this thread's scope, but I recommend Titanium Backup from the Play Store. If you want to get rid of the "Nook" logo on reboot, flash the zip file from post #2 of Engine95's thread (using TWRP) found here: http://ift.tt/1QHXeWP
6. SD Card Fix -- if you find your third party apps can't write to your SD Card, the attachment below describes how to fix it. If this type of editing scares you (make a backup first!), the Play Store app SD Card Fix supposedly still works with Lollipop and you can try that.
7. Netflix Fix -- for some reason, Netflix doesn't like root on the Nook Tab. The fix for this is as simple as renaming the file "system/lib/liboemcrypto.so" (using a root explorer of your choice) as "system/lib/liboemcrypto.so.bak"
8. Xposed -- I happen to like Xposed and don't find it messes up anything, while giving you a ton of customization options. Installation is a two-step process. First, find the correct version of wanam's Xposed zip from here: http://ift.tt/1IZsDRS, and flash it using TWRP. For Lollipop on the S2, I used his SDK 22-arm version (SDK 23 is for Marshmallow). Don't worry if the reboot takes a long time -- that's normal. Then, once rebooted, simply install wanam's Xposed apk (XposedInstaller_3.0_Alpha4) that's available in the same thread.

That's it. I hope this saves some of you a lot of my trial and error, and, if it does, please press the "thanks" button.

ADB not working - returns "unauthorized"

As title says, I cannot use adb: "adb devices" returns "UNAUTHORIZED" if I launch command with phone plugged in and in android environment.
If I try in bootloader mode, download mode or recovery mode it returns "list of attached device" like it is empty list and cant see phone.
Phone is M9 ViperOneM9 4.3.0 firmware 3.35.401.12 recovery TWRP 3.0.0.0.
I am using a Win 10 PC where ADB command is perfectly working with my other M9 (ViperOneM9 4.2.1 same firmware as above, TRWP 2.8.7.1).
I read various posts and the problem seems to be the phone not showing the prompt to accept RSA key.
Yes, I am with USB debug ON and install from unknow sources ON (this last is useless but I say the same).
I think to have tried most of everything people suggest in different posts:
- updated and reinstalled android sdk
- deleted adbkey and adbkey.pub in my %user%/.android folder (then it recreates files but still no prompt on phone)
- tried different versions of HTC drivers on PC
- tried different versions of adb (1.0.31, 1.0.32 and also a pre 1.0.30 I dont remember exactly which one)
- tried installing Minimal ADB and Fastboot [4-27-16] http://ift.tt/1hRT13V
- wiped everything from TWRP recovery under "advanced" button and reinstalled rom with wipe during aroma installer
- looking in the phone in "system/data/misc/adb" for adb keys files but my folder is empty (checked on my other fully working M9 and that folder is empty too)
- toggled USB debugging on/off rebooting phone and PC

I also tried setting up a virtual machine with Windows 7 but I am not able to install drivers for the phone (yellow triangle in device manager).
Set up a virtual machine with Debian 8.4.0, installed android-tools-sdk, updated last version and "adb devices" here return OFFLINE
What can i do? It is like 7 hour I am trying but nothing is working.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Huawei Honor 6 stuck at Rescue mode!!

Adoptive Storage issue?

So what's the point of additive storage if it's not going to actually use the SD card? I've been working with a lot of video lately and it just came to a crawl and I got 3 notifications about being out of storage. I've deleted a few things and it's running fine now but this is kind of pointless. Isn't the idea behind approve storage so that it adds the SD card space to the partition for user data?

I'm using G3 from last few days i have noticed that the Battery Life what shows on status Bar & the actual remain battery life is not same, some how the battery life is gone of sync. my phone switches off on 15-30% battery life, when i turn it on by pressing power is it shows that battery is 0% charged. Elephone W2 watch

Back to moan about this company again
Received their companion smart watch today.
Believe it or not it won't even pair with the elephone p9000.
Phone can see it in Bluetooth settings but fails to connect.
The watch app doesn't even find the watch let alone pair with it.
Anyone even bother buying the watch and successfully it to an elephone ?

Weird issue this morning

Hey peeps had a really strange issue this morning ???? I went out last night on the town and came home rather intoxicated. Went to bed and forgot to put my phone on charge. At 6am I woke up phone was on 13% put my phone on charge and the screen wasn't responding.

So I forced shutdown and when it started up I couldn't unlock my phone because my keyboard wasn't appearing.

Forced shutdown again put on charge again and went back to sleep.

When I woke up an hour later late for work I took my phone and unlocked it and all my home was messed up. All folders are left most apps are spread out over 5 pages Google account had logged out. My messages didn't show my Google picture showed my 1st initial.

I have the latest marshmallow and I'm wondering if anyone else knows why this may have happened?

Soon gonna cry

Hi I've been searching for a while now but I can't find a topic on this yet.
Recently it rooted my phone but now when I try turning it on it gets stuck at the loading screen, ok. Now then I managed to get to the boot loader from here I go to the recovery option,now here is the problem when I select the recovery option the phone will either go back to the boot loader or will not turn back on. Also in this state my PC cannot see my phone as a device. PS I cant even get to the error screen most people seem to get when they go to the recovery option.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Writing shell scripts

I wrote a shell script that I saved in the root directory of the sdcard, however, file permissions were 660 and I could not find a way to make it executable. 'chmod +x' did not work, nor could SolidExplorer change permissions. Googling suggested that if I copied it to e.g. /data I could then change permissions, file permissions were indeed 760 after copying but did not stick when copying the file back to the sdcard and reverted to 660.

I can execute the shell script on the sdcard running it as 'sh script' but I'd rather have it executable as is.

Is this not possible?

GWD Watch face works in preview but gives black screen on watch, help!

I've put together a watch face that uses an animation control with 46 frames (each is 300x300 pixels in size), which I've then spreadout over the whole day (so each frame is displayed for 31 or 32 mins). I've then put on the usual watch hands and digital clock to complete it.

It looks fine when I preview in GWD and I can successfully build it and install it to my Gear S2. However, when I try and select the new face on my watch I see the preview picture followed by a black screen. After being unresponsive for a short period of time it switches to the preview picture of one of the built in faces and remains unresponsive. A quick reboot gets the watch running again, but it still doesn't let me use my new watch face. :(

Anyone seen this sort of problem before or got any suggestions on ways to get it running? After spending a reaosnable amount of time manually adjusting the timings for 46 frames of animation I'd really like to see this working.

Galaxy S3 goes back to stock recovery after flashing any other custom recovery

I tried straight up installing a custom rom with the stock recovery, didn't work, (verification signature errors show but it does install, still goes back to stock rom)

I tried installing a custom recovery via ODIN and put it on an external sd card. tried installing from both.

Nothing works, it reboots and when I go back to recovery it's stock again.

After using the device to charge the two smart phones and the tablet, starting at zero in terms of battery amount in the individual units, and removing them once they were completely charged, it was discovered that there was no increase in temperature. LG G3 stuck on firmware update screen

I have LG G3 D855 on android 4.4.2 and tried to update it to android 6 but I got a message saying "the device is not registered yet" so I tried to update manually by LGup but it always stuck on 6% and an error message appears I dont remember it but I think it was saying that there is a problem in the partition: cust
Then I tried with LG flash tool 2014 and it stuck on 2% and says "remove the battery and try again" but to no avail
Then tried to unbrick/unroot it by LG flash tool_v1.8 using tot firmware and it stuck on 6% again and shows an error message saying " partition change Fa..." (it's cut off, but I'm assuming that last word is 'fail')

So help me please because I can't use my phone anymore :crying:
How can I flash it now ?

Android 4.4.2 call holding

Hey guys,
So I have a note 3 and I regularly make calls and text on whatsapp. My problem arises when I get a regular cell call while I'm on a whatsapp call; I can answer the regular call but my phone does not put my WhatsApp call on hold, causing both calls to be active and neither to hear me.
I have to manual hang up one or the other to fix the problem but it is quite frustrating to do this when the phone is basically struggling to cope with 2 active calls and is lagging.

Gear S and Dual SIM phones

I would like to share with you my experience with Samsung's Dual SIM phones (S5 duos and S7 edge with two sim-slots). Gear S is working quit smoothly however the automatic call divert no. Regardless if someone has both slots occupied or not, the automatic call devirt does not work. Actually, does not even appear on the menu. Neither on phone nor on the watch.

Best ROM to make my G2 great again.

I've had my G2 for almost 2 years now, been on default KitKat the whole time with no problems but I've started to notice more and more lag as of late. So before I decide to just sell this phone and get a new one I thought why not try and give it a second life so to speak by rooting it and trying out a ROM. Thing is I'm not at all familiar wth ROMs and I've never rooted a phone in my life, so I'm coming to you good people to ask what in your opinion the best ROM for the G2 D802 is in terms of : Near stock experience,performance,battery life and to a lesser extent camera. I'd also like some comprehensive tutorials on how to SAFELY root and flash a ROM.

I was using stock Marshmallow on my rooted z2, so i used the ported xperia X system UI on my phone and i replaced the system ui and framework via root explorer, i did a mistake with the permission not setting it to rwrr, so after i rebooted... it says system ui not responding. is there any way i could flash the original system ui with adb or pc or anything? i got the stock system ui n framework backed up just don wanna go through the hassle of formatting my phone and i got no recovery. is there any way?

[Q] How to boot into recovery from LG download mode?

I have the LG K7 I have found NO way to boot into recovery without using ADB. There is currently no known button combo to boot into recovery. So does anyone know how to send a command through download mode to reboot to recovery. I haven't bricked the phone yet. But if I do I want to be able to boot into recovery.

Im using Cyanogenmod 12.1 newest version and it keeps turning itself on when I charge the battery when I turn it off. I am using TWRP if it matters. Why does it keep turning itself on? How can I fix that? Thanks for the help guys!!!!

WhatsApp Updates Automatic Download

Hi!
I'm new on this awesome forum, so I hope to post the thread in the right section. :p

I downloaded WhatsApp from the official site, not from Play Store. And I also disabled the option in the Play Store to prevent automatic updates of all apps.
Btw, whenever WhatsApp released an update, the .apk file is downloading automatically in "WhatsApp" folder on my device.
So everytime I open WhatsApp it keeps asking me to update until I tap "Ok".
Now my question is:
Is there a way to avoid WhatsApp from downloading these damn updates automatically?

Is it possible to control screen properties in Android

hello everyone,

I've a question I'd like to ask regarding android, as I'm not that experience with coding, so I was hoping someone could help me with this.
to make a long story short: I've an android stick that I want to use for a Magic Mirror, but those sticks do not have a gyroscope sensor (for obvious reasons) so the screen is always set to horizontal mode. you can change the screen orientation through basic android configurations or apps, but all that does is setting the width of the screen to 50% and the height to 200%, where I really need the screen to actually rotate 90 degrees (as for the mirror I need to use the screen of the stick vertically)

my question now is if it's possible to perhaps edit the android code, through rooting or something alike, where I can control the screen properties, so I'd be able to actually rotate the screen 90 degrees.

Xperia SP dead

...well, mostly.
Started crashing sometimes weeks ago, but dunno if that's related. A few days ago it crashed completely on me, backlight on but no response to anything (OFF button included). Came home, battery seemed to drain, charged up just fine.
The next day - died again, some funky artefacts on the screen first, then same as the previous day except no backlight. Fixed when I came home that day too, started taking it apart and the LED started blinking red (= dead battery). Charged up fine; cleaned up my ROM/kernel too, updated etc., minimal app setup.
Next day again, fine in the morning, then a few crashes aaand dead. Took it apart completely, found out that I get *some* LED response if I unplug the battery and press down onto the motherboard..:) Rebuilt it, booted up, crashed again. Seems to turn back on if I mess with it after a few hours, but battery charging is VERY slow (~50 percent in like 5 hours).
I'm going to try flashing stock when/if it comes back up, but I'm leaning towards hardware failure right now - either a damaged motherboard or bad battery.
Most likely getting a new phone anyway at this point, but I'd still be very thankful if anyone would know how to fix this and could share :)

My watch just came today, a refurb. And the screen is tilted to the left as in the top right corner is higher than the top left corner.

Should I just exchange from the seller or send it in to Sony? Anyone else see this before?

i have been seeing post that marshmellow is not a carrier upgrade yet. two days ago on my verizon droid turbo 2 i checked for upgrades and there it was. first, i had to download 2 other files ( im not sure what ) sorry, but it did say they were so i could get the 6.0, and then marshmellow popped up ready to go. it all went perfectly smooth which is a miracle for me because im always f%cking things up. so f you have verizon and didnt know, its here. i tried not to long ago and it wasnt there. good luck, john

Activate Tethering on rooted phone

For anybody that cannot get tethering working on your phone, follow these steps.
1. Edit build prop and add the following line
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true
2. Download terminal emulator from play store. Open terminal emulator and type in "su" without the " marks and press enter. Grant terminal emulator super user privileges. Next, type the following line into emulator.
put settings global tether_dun_required 0
Press enter, it will pause for a second and then return to command line. Close out terminal emulator.
3. Reboot phone and you should be good to go. I have to do all this to get it working on Sprint.

Problem - SDCard Mode - 12.2

My 12.2 keeps crashing and ending up in SDCard Mode.
It works just fine after charging. I can boot up for a day or two, the battery seems to discharge normally, then I will try to boot up and it goes straight to SDCard Mode. Last night I was using it, the battery at about 70% and it crashed. Black screen then tried to reboot and it goes into the SDCard Mode.
Once in this mode I can do nothing with it. No response and if I shut it down with the button it lights back up into the mode after a couple seconds. It will not charge.
At this point I either have to leave it until the battery goes completely dead, then it will charge, or remove the back and disconnect the battery, plug in the charger and when the battery shows on the screen I can reattach the battery and it will begin to charge.
With both of these options once it starts to charge it shows that the battery is completely drained and starting at 0%
Anybody know what's causing this?

Root Moto X with build number (LPA23.12-21.7)

Please I have been trying to root my Moto X 2013 (AT&T) with a locked bootloader
The tutorial I was following on XDA asked me to flash with a system with build number (downgrade to) LPA23.12-21.1).
Later on I read online and had a solution that said I should remove a line in the flash file with xml extension.
I removed the line with the "getvar' but yet still I have been unable.

Having trouble with getting SuperSU to stick

Hey there fellow XDA forum members, I am currently running stock 6.0 Marshmallow on my Moto E XT1527 Surnia (Telus) and have that squid build of TWRP and it runs fine. Now here's where I run into issues... I've tried twice now to flash the SuperSU Update zip but when I boot into recovery TWRP doesn't ask me if I want to install SuperSU, and not sure but I didn't check the box for "keep read only" and just swiped right; does that matter? Anyhow; back to my OP, is there a way to get SuperSU Update to stick? Cause after flashing the zip as aforementioned, and reboot system, it just hangs at the white warning bootloader unlocked screen...why?? And I heard about systemless root for 6.0 but honestly don't know where to begin, and thought there would've been a tutuorial or a guide but have yet to find one, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

[Q][HARDWARE] I need to replace the Power IC.

So, i realised that my s3 neo's power ic is damaged, proof : it charges/discharges in very very short time, and sometimes the screen flickers and the battery die directly and i have to connect it to the charger to switch it on. I got a recommendation to replace the power ic, and i heard that this board is not using the same power / charge integrated circuit as the Exynos S3, also, I've found only for Galaxy Grand 2 power ic part which is the PM8226. my question, where can i get this part and is it the same as GGRAND2?

Micro SD Card Not Reognized

I just bought a Galaxy Grand Prime from Metro PCS and it doesn't recognize any of the micro SD cards I insert into it. I've tried 3, they all work on my computer, but don't show up on the phone...it's like it was never even inserted. Is there anything I can do or did I get a phone with a broken SD card connector?

Tips (Please read before fllashing):
-After ROM boots for first time, do the setup (enter account and such) and then DO A REBOOT! This could save you from 2 of the 4 of the below tips, and perhaps save me from questions about battery drain issues due to NFC.
-Trebuchet (the default launcher) might present some graphical glitches. I haven't notice that in any other launcher, so perhaps it is Trebuchet only problem. Perhaps you want to use another launcher..
-Wifi IP address will be the same after the second time you enable wifi. So when booting for first time you might want to disable wifi and re-enable it (or do a reboot :P).
-For NFC users, after flashing ROM and booting for first time, you won't be able to turn NFC off. So don't try to do so. Instead, after first boot, do a reboot and everything should be fine.

Marshmallow (3.39.531.7) RUU problem- PLEASE HELP!

Hi, my Tmobile M9 is softbricked after relocking the bootloader while trying to run the RUU to get back to stock so I could trade it in at an EcoATM...

Problem is, after UAC pops up and the Installshield works in the background for less than a minute, it closes, without extracting rom.zip or popping anything up at all.

I am running a Dell Inspiron 14r (N4110) running windows 10 pro 64-bit, dotnet and visual c redistributable 2008 x86 are installed, sync manager is uninstalled, the phone WAS running ViperOneM9 4.3.something with twrp 3.0.0.0-r2 (can't boot into twrp), the bootloader is locked, S-ON, MID and CID should never have been changed, to my knowledge, and I can't run the fastboot oem commands to find out. I also tried the OPJAIMG.zip method but let's not worry about what went wrong there right this second.

How do I edit my signature

This has been asked numerous times with many replies but no clear answer to me. The best answer from 5 years ago said you have to click 'CP' I don't have a CP to click or if I do, search can't find it. Where is it?

I can edit city, country, service provider, etc. Why no edit signature on the same page? Why hasn't the ability to edit the signature improved in 5 years?

Backup problem

Hello,
I cannot do a backup of the MIUI system either in the internal storage or in the Xiaomi Cloud or by the MiPCSuite. In first case the phone simply states "not enough space" ( still 48GB in the storage), as for the cloud- it does not say anything- there is just 0 backups. No possibility to do backup by the Suite either.
Can anyone help with that?

Root G935F: I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0 but I can't flash no-verity.

I am following this guide

I have flashed TWRP which I downloaded from here but now I am unable to flash the no-verity script. I don't have the option to install, I only see Apply update from SD card or ADB. When I tried to apply the no-verity script I got error messages and the install was aborted.

Also one thing I noticed is that I never received a message saying asking me to swipe right to allow system modifications when I flashed TWRP.

How do I flash the no-verity script and the SU script?

Also I want to mention that I did run the Wipe data/factory reset option before attempting to run the script.

Any help is appreciated!!

i was so smart to wipe my system in twrp recovery and reboot. now i am stuck in a bootloop. it doesnt show the bootanimation but just the unlocked bootloader warning:(
i have tried holding the power bottum, holding power bottum and volume up and down and both but nothing works. i neither turns off or go into bootloader or recovery. please help me guys. shall i just wait for it to die?? i have a backup on my phone but the problem is that i cant get into recovery and flash it!

Root Dooge Smart Cube P1 - "BAD RECOVERY DETECTED, NO UNZIP"

I'm getting crazy.. maybe someone can help me:

I've got that tiny great cool new mini projector from Doogee running android, it's really great but some software needs to get disabled. Getting into recovery is a bit hidden, but quite easy once found:

Call "adb reboot recovery", pluign an USB keyboard and you end up in an nice old recovery session. "adb sideload" works, but when installing SuperSU it breaks with "BAD RECOVERY DETECTED, NO UNZIP". Fair enough, this message is already from custom code running as root.

But now I've spend hours without any success getting just the unmodified update.zip extracted and repackaged so that the recovery accepts the signature. Can anybody give me a hint how the SuperSU.zip is created? There must be something special. Next step would just be to add a cp into the script and install the unzip somewhere from /data

Watch Face that Displays both Watch and Phone Battery Percentage?

So Ive been looking around on the Samsung Store for a watch face which displays both the Watch and Phones battery percentage on the watch face, and havent been able to find anything. Ive downloaded Gear Watch Designer to see if I could make my own watch face with these options, but cant figure out the coding. Im coming from a Moto 360 2015, and you can either find a ton of watch faces with both Watch and Phone Battery levels, or create your own through a watch face maker app on the phone, and choose these options easily.

Is there a way to do this with the Gear S2? I love the way the watch works overall with my S7e, and love that I can accurately type on it as opposed to my Moto 360 2015 which I am only allowed voice input to reply. I know the Moto 260 2015 has an app that lets you type, but its shoddy at best, and doesnt recognize my taps most of the time. But really the only feature that I really like on my Moto 360 2015 that I cant find on my Gear S2, is showing both Watch and Phone Battery.

Id rather not have to use a widget for this, as Id like to just be able to look at my watch and check the time, as well as battery levels of both devices. Sometimes I just dont get the chance to check my phone, and realize it needs to be charged, and having this info displayed on my wrist is much more convenient.

Since Im asking, I havent really done much searching, but is there a site where I can find templates for Gear Watch Designer? Im not very good at doing my own designing of watch faces, but there have been quite a few watch faces I really liked, that I just would like to reposition some of the information shown. I could do this easily with Watch Maker for my Moto, if the author allowed editing of their watch design. Was just curious if there was a repository for the Gear S2, or if there was an app similar to Watch Maker that I could use to create my own watch face, without having to use a PC.

Request for volunteers - creating debrick image for the d851

Hello, Since the Board Giag Tool Doesnt work for the D851 and the only way to unbrick the D851 is by sending it to LG Repair or Some Other Repair or Flashing it with either Medusa Box or Octoplus Box. It wasnt long when @Kathik figured out that the LG G3 F460 S/K/L which is also not supported by the Board Diag Tool can be unbricked by creating a debrick image. You can find his thread here.

This debrick image that @Kathik used is just a dump of the bootloaders from a working LG G3 F460. And all we need to do is to find a way to create the debrick image from a working D851 running the firmware version the bricked D851 was on before it got bricked.
Fortunately for all of us, i got my hands on the zip file which creates the dump or debrick image (Thanks to @Anik49) We have the file.

So all we need is volunteers to flash this zip file in TWRP and once done, you should see a file name debrick.img.zip on your Sdcard.

If this work, we wont need to send our devices for repairs or dissasemble them when they get bricked.

Please feel free to ask any questions about the process.

Copy the Stock Rom 207 ROW RENAME it update.zip first to the root of your Phone's Internal Memory'

Copy Supersu v2.71 also in the root of the Internel memory of your phone.

BluSpark Unable to Get Past Boot Screen OOS 5.1.1

I'm fairly new to rooting and flashing kernels so sorry if I'm ignorant about all this. I have the latest version of TWRP (3.0.2-0). I would install the latest BluSpark zip (r128), wipe the data and cache and then format them into F2S2 and the phone would reboot fine. However, if I try and reboot the phone or turn it off and turn it back on again I just get stuck at the bootloading animation. Is there any advice or anything I do to prevent this? Did I install something wrong or using the wrong version of something? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Hey guys was hoping someone could help me out, I was told yesterday that I could get free IMEI unlock codes so before I throw MORE money out the window that we don't have lol I thought I would ask you all first ..........

So my dilemma is my boyfriend and I both needed new phones and fast due to work and kids and we'll just life we decided to look on kijiji to find some and ended up finding someone that had 2 phones that both of us wanted. So my BF ' s is the s4 SGH-I337M and it's carrier locked to Fido and if I'm correct it's for non payment then there's mine which is the Note 2 SGH-I317M and it was reported lost or stolen but it was on the Rogers network. Now I'm still kind of new to this stuff but if I can get the codes for free, I can unlock mine ( the note ) I'm just not sure if his would be done the same way seeing how it's carrier locked ?? now his ( the s4 ) is going to Wind and as for mine ( the note 2 ) would be going to chatr . And last thing cause I just got a notification dialog to tell me but I guess I have to root mine ( the note 2 ) but I'm not entirely sure on how to do that as of yet..... sorry this is so big lol thought that the most info I could give you, would get me the best answer lol so if there's anyone that could help or send some kind of feed back that would be great

MMS recive/send when data disabled

Hello!

It is possible to auto recive/send MMS when data connection is disabled? (Moto x play Android 6.0.1) I mean message app can turn on data recive MMS and disabled data. I have 2 APNs Internet and MMS but i can recive/send MMS only when i manualy turn on data. Yea option auto recive MMS is enabled but when i enabled it i got information MMS cant be send/recive when data is disabled :(

Front facing camera

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their front facing camera? I've only had my moto x pure for a month. Last week, the camera was malfunctioning and when the app froze, I restarted my phone and the front facing option button was not there anymore. I tried clearing the cache and disabling it, uninstalling the updates and using a different app but it's still not there. Can anyone help me with this problem?

[Q] Just bought S7 Edge, still in my return period. Switch to 10 (VZW) for root?

I'm coming from an iPhone so I have no brand/device loyalty, but root/jailbreaking is high priority for me. It doesn't seem like the S7e has any advantages over the 10 besides screen (honestly not the biggest fan of the curved screen anyway). Should I make the switch?

Lenovo a7000 sound gets compressed after upgraded to marshmallow

There is a bug in marshmallow after upgrading to lollipop to marshmallow vibe ui 3.1 ,and that is its Sound Quality,it became slightly compressed,kindly resolve,cant be able to set the Dolby Atmos at own custom mod.the equalizer volumes are not staying at required.

TWRP not flashing

I have been having an issue flashing TWRP. I have previously had TWRP on my Nexus 6, but I recently flashed the latest security update, and now for the life of me, I cannot get TWRP to flash.

I run fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-shamu.img, it says it ran OKAY, I reboot the phone, then use ADB reboot recovery but it always comes back to the stock recovery. I have done this a hundred times, and never had an issue. Anyone else seen this?

Rom flash successfully but gets freeze after boot and restarts

Hi, there I have a strange problem. I am on MIUI stock ROM Global stable 2.2.3.0 (LXIMIDA). I have twrp recovery on it. Whenever I flash any ROM, it flashes successfully. It reboots, does all the upgrading.. but when ROM is ready to show the launcher or setup, it freezes and restarts suddenly. And this repeats again and again getting like boot loop. I am not able to flash any ROM. I tried to flash 2-3 ROMs like Mokee, Resurrection remix etc, but no success. If any one has the solution, please suggest the solution. Thank you.

Gear S and LG G5

Hey, I just got the LG G5 today. I've been using the Gear S for less than a year with my S6 Edge with no problems at all (after changing from the LG G Watch R, Samsung seemed to lock out the old watch with a software update).

I've been trying for the past few hours to set up my Gear S with the LG, but nothing's working. I've tried what seems to be the 2 most popular methods and neither worked. The closest I got was pairing the 2 via bluetooth in the Gear app, the watch said it needed to reboot and factory reset. But then nothing. Just stuck in an unending connecting loop.

The G5 is running Android 6, I've heard that the Gear S has some problems with that.

I don't need full functionality for the Gear S, just call and text notifications (it will do the calls via a normal BT connection but not texts). I use it as a music player as well, but since that isn't tied to the phone, I know I'll have that no matter what.

I've also heard about possibly being able to install Android Wear on the Gear S. Is that possible?

Battery Too Hot Notification

So lately my 1.5 year old Galaxy Alpha running Lollipop (never rooted or modded) started having poor battery life. It used to shut off at 1% battery life. But started to die at even 15% recently. Now this past weekend I was on vacation and a few times the phone died at approx 35% and wouldn't turn back on without a charge first. And when it did come back on the time and date were very!! far off although I was in air plane mode but still seemed odd. A few days later I had it plugged in over night as I always do and saw that the phone was very hot in the morning in my hand. I unlocked it and a notification was up. Cant remember word for word but something along the lines of "battery too hot to charge". It would not charge, I've tried to pulled the battery and reinsert it etc. The odd time it will show on the screen that it is charging but it is stops very quickly. Is this normal for a 1.5 year old battery? Will a new battery solve this problem? I've had no issues with the charging port on this phone. The only problem I've had with this phone is the fingerprint scanner but I've opted to just not use it.

Basically I am hoping someone else has had similar symptons. I hope its not hardware and hoping its as simple as a new battery. But hate to order one and wait a week to find it hasn't helped. Thanks so much for reading this and hope to hear from you guys!

How do I fix my Samsung-phone, that went in a boot-loop? (SM-A500FU)

I do not have a custom-ROM installed.

How it happened: I wanted to download a custom boot-animation (containing .qmg files) to replace the original one. I replaced "bootsamsung.qmg",
"bootsamsungloop.qmg" and "shutdown.qmg" in the directory: "system/media". Then I restarted my phone to see if the boot-animation was changed, but it wasn't. It kept restarting and restarting so I tried to open the recovery mode. I chose "Wipe cache partition, but nothing happened. I tried multiple times to find a solution online, but I ended up choosing a Factory Reset. Everything was working normally after the Factory Reset. Then I noticed the first problem; the original boot-animation disappeared, (the screen was black in the 10 second duration of the boot-animation) but it could still work as a 'new' phone.

After a week, the phone ran out of battery, so I recharged it. It became a stuck 'brick' again, during the booting process. The device is showing the text that appears before the boot-animation shows up "Samsung Galaxy A5, powered by android". It does also play the boot-sound when the boot-animation doesn't show up. Google Hangouts not allowing me to make outgoing calls

I got the newest version of Google Hangouts with dialer and Google Voice number but I can't make any phone calls out.I believe only messaging work.When I input number in dialer and it doesn't show up as a free or what it will cost to make call.Just numbers im a row.Is there a setting or it doesn't work on a Verizon LG G3 running Kit Kat.

G4 battery drain to ~85% after fully charging while its turned on.

This only happens when its turned on, when i charge it while its turned off and turn it on after fully charging, it stays 100% for quite a while.

Also usually when im not doing too much on the device the battery lasts a good week.

Couldn't find any faulty services on the battery usage, i also close apps in the background when im done using them/not using them for next few hours.

WhatsApp Queue Bug with Goolge Now and Smartwatch Android Wear

Hello to all! I found an unpleasant WhatsApp bug I notice in versions 2.16.13, 2.16.53 and 2.16.54 beta, i don't know if it also happens in other previous versions
and if it happens to others. Using Google Now to send a whatsapp message, is shown correctly on whatsapp but not sent, remains in the "queue" with the clock icon but if you open the application of whatsapp or you get a message from someone at that point is sent, this does not always happen but it happens especially after a few minutes for whatsapp is not opened / used, it seems that the application goes into standby output. Unfortunately this problem limits also the use of whatsapp on a smartwatch Android wear because the response to notifications happens through the voice service of google now.

I own an HTC One M7 with Android 5.0.2 I don't have any application that limits the data in the background or some active "sleep mode". Can you help me? Thank you!

X9 Battery Life

Just wanted to share that the battery life is very good on the X9. I am getting about 5.5 hours of screen-on-time.
I unplug the phone at 6am and at 11pm there is still 15% left with at least 5 hours of SOT.

MM 6.0.1 status bar + root issue

Hi, I've update to MM 6.0.1 in my Galaxy s5 G900F.
After this update is you enable the Power Saving Mode the Status bar becomes Gray.
So there's a way to edit that Gray Status bar to return "normal" without disabling the Saving Mode?

Also I have another isssue, I've rooted the device and with LP busibox ecc I had no problems.
But coolify and CCleaner says I'm not rooted.
There is a way to solve it?

Need help! TWRP zip installation error.

Running custom boot animations HELP

Hello so I have a Samshng galaxy s5 and I would like help on getting a boot animaion running. I have tried boot animation apps and when I restart my phone the animation is still the default samsung one. I have also tried running one by myself ( Downloading a boot animation, placing it in system/media. setting permission to rw-r-r) and it still doesnt work. Anybody know who to get it working?

How can I play them smoothly? Someone has a suggestion for a particular video player or settings? Or simply I can't?

Trying to compile S6 Edge G925T kernel - No call audio?

Hopefully I can get some help with this. I'm trying to compile the G925T Marshmallow kernel from Samsung sources. Compilation is fine and the kernel boots, however, even with the stock config, I'm getting absolutely no call audio, and the device sometimes reboots once or twice before actually booting. It's also stating that "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" even though I haven't messed with SELinux yet. Has anybody else had any success compiling a usable G925T kernel?

Buggy Play Store after root (CRR-L09)

Hi everybody,
My model is Huawei Mate S CRR-L09 (bought In France).

I've unlocked my bootloader succesfully.
Then I installed successfully TWRP 2.8.7.0 on my Huawei Mate S.

Everything was fine... Until I try to use the Play Store. The app launches, and when I type some words, sometimes, the app disappears.
I was searching for "file explorer", I type "file e" and then BOUM the app crashes. Whereas with other words it's not crashing. I've tried another typing : "happn", then the app crashes too.

I checked the time of my phone, the hour was correct, I updated succesfully Play Store and Google Play Services, I've wiped the cache and data for both Google Play Store and Google Play Services and rebooted my phone...

No way, it's still the same. It's very annoying and it makes me crazy. Do you have an idea?

N920I Can any CSC version of the N920I 6.0.1 Marshmallow be used on the phone?

So I have this Australia version of the N920I:

But I see Singapore versions of the N920I available on SamMobile.

Can any N920I version be used via Odin? or do I have to wait for my specific CSC version to be released?

Would flashing a Tmobile S5 Rom Work if I now use T-Mobile service?

As the title explains I am trying out T-Mobile service on my Verizon s5, and I had previously (like an hour ago had CM13 on it) But the network connection had issues. Would flashing a custom rom made for T-Mobile maybe help alleviate network issues? Now that I am back on stock Verizon Rom it works well and I haven't experienced any of the issues I did on CM13. Anyone have any ideas of how to get off of touchwiz etc but still keep the network stuff correct?

I am would like to be able to return to CM13 so would flashing CM13 KLTE (instead of KLTEVZW) work? It mentions something about boot signing or something and that verizon users will end up having a bad time?

Also I realize that this might also considered Q&A material and for that I am sorry if this is the incorrect forum.

Rom for DAV-701L

Where would I be able to download a stock rom for this devince? Also I noticed that there are a lot more updates for DAV-703L compared to this device...

Will there be more updates? Also are there any possibilities of installing the 703L version rom to 701L?

Help!!!ATT LG G3 have IMEI number, but unknown Baseband Version

My phone is unlocked. Currently I use Tmobile. After I restore my phone from backup from crash, my phone get signal from Tmobile like on and off. When I check about phone, I see I have IMEI number, but on Baseband Version, it shows unknown. Can you please help me to fix this issue? Thanks you!!!

Reflashing Stock ROM - NAND Write start, FAIL! | S6 G920W8 - zerofltebmc

Hi guys, I would really like some help if anyone knows whats going on.

Galaxy S6 -zerofltebmc- G920W8.
-TWRP installed.
-Attempted to install Tryannus Rom.
-After Tryannus install, phone stuck on logo when booting.
-attempted to flash stock ROM with odin, V3.10.7 and V3.10.6.
-NAND Write start - Fail.

Backup Widget Settings

Hello,

I have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900F running CM12.1

I use Titanium Backup to backup all my apps and settings and it works really well but the two things that it doesn't backup are my widgets and profiles.

I know that you can backup profiles by saving a copy of /Data/System/Profiles.xml and I know that you can backup widgets using My Backup Root.

I don't want to have to use another app just to backup my widgets and I would like to just keep a copy of the appropriate files saved so that I can restore them manually as I do with profiles.

Does anyone know which file(s) widget setting are saved in so that I can make a copy of it?
