Years back when I had my Galaxy S3 there was a mod for the stock camera that you could flash that increased the video recording bitrate. The difference was amazingly good, albeit very space consuming.
I see there is a couple of mods over on the Xperia Z1 forum that increased the bitrate for 4K recording to 80 and 160mbps and allowed timeshift to 1080p@60fps on the Z1, Z1s and Z2.

I've flashed the zips to my Z5P but they had no effect.
I'm just wondering if anyone who knows about this enough to know if it's possible.
