Haven't seen this commented on elsewhere, but the spec for the Europe version of the Note 7 shows that it supports the new Galileo GPS system which is due to start going public this year. The Snapdragon spec doesn't.
Galileo is a very great improvement on the original US GPS and will give far more accurate positions. There's a Galileo app in the Store which doesn't yet give positions but has a lot of info about the news system.
