Just curious if anyone else doesn't care about root anymore.
I haven't rooted since I took the Marshmallow update, and I don't miss a thing about root. My phone runs great without a custom kernel or the ability to write to the microSD with apps that don't normally get to do so.
I'm not arguing that being unrooted is better. The only real benefit to not having root is that I can just take the security updates OTA with no fuss or muss. But I'm not paranoid about security updates, so that doesn't matter much to me. It's just that if root was such a good thing, why don't I miss it?
