What's going on guys, I'm having some serious issues with my HTC-10 I just got on Thursday from swappa... I'm trying to figure out if these issues are just software or if my phone is a dud...
Here are the issues:
1) Extremely bad cell reception, generally I have 1 bar, and rarely 2 bars and even maybe less than 5 times today I remember seeing 3 bars. I was getting this low reception in areas where I used to get maximum service.
2) When using ear-buds or other headsets for phone calls, the other person can barely hear me... if at all. It's bad enough that trying to use ear buds for a phone call is basically impossible.
3) While in speaker phone mode, the other person has an extremely hard time hearing me even if I am 5 inches away and speaking quite loud. Yet google can hear me for voice to text decently.
4) Randomly after a few hours of use, 2 cores of the processor seem to get stuck... they never drop below 1.8ghz, this just makes no sense to me... Why would 2 stay locked up so high? Two show something low like 377mhz or something, but the other 2 never drop below 1.8ghz. I noticed this because I was confused as to why the phone was suddenly very hot and the battery was draining extremely quickly. Like 1% per minute. O.O So i looked and found a setting in the rom I am using (Viper) that shows the Core's Frequencies in the Notification Drawer. Why is this happening?
5) The Audio output from the headphone jack is extremely good, mainly because the stereo separation is just fantastic. BUT... general sounds like ringtones and notification tones are just very weak. My previous daily driver, my oneplus one is just about 2x as loud. Maybe like 1.75x. It's very very noticeable (in a bad way) and I missed 2 calls and several sms messages today due to this.
6) This is the weirdest one... So... just for fun I was comparing the 10 and my oneplus one side by side, doing little "tests" by seeing who could open apps faster. And... the OnePlus One actually beats the 10 about half of the time... Wtf? We had 801, 805, 808, 810, and now 820. So that's Four Generations higher...yet sometimes slower? I'm not sure if this is a "problem" or not, I'm just shocked. The 10 lags in general scrolling times sometimes has this... strange touch delay, but in the OPO none of these issues exist even though the touch screen is off sometimes when typing. Uh... So unsure.
So anyway, can someone shed some light on this?
(update) I forgot to mention that my oneplus one also has this 2 stuck cores issue, but it's 1.2ghz... So I'm just at a loss here.
