can my g935p be fully rooted? including unlocking bootloader?

I did search but found so much and no conclusive and current answer.

If it is rootable but the boot loader does not unlock what is the draw back to this? No custom recovery? Stuck with stock Rom? No updates?

If this version is not unlockable is there a version in the US that is? Using Sprint?
